SPL’s Sound Cycling Series

The Seattle Public Library is hosting the Sound Cycling series this spring at several Library locations. Learn how to use a bike as a healthy and economical means of transportation, perform basic bike maintenance and more. Record the number of miles biked to work or school during the month of May for a chance to win prizes at the series finale.

The series is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

Saturday, May 25, 2013 – 12-2pm
Sound Cycling: Getting There By Bike
Where: NewHolly Branch
Summary: Learn about cycling around Seattle on your own or with kids.

Saturday, May 25, 2013 – 12-2pm
Sound Cycling: Bicycle Maintenance
Where: Ballard Branch
Summary: Get an overview of basic bicycle parts and learn about basic bicycle maintenance.

Thursday, June 13, 2013 – 4-7pm
Sound Cycling: Mileage Celebration and Finale
Where: Northeast Branch
Summary: Win prizes for reporting the miles you biked to work or school in May! We’ll also celebrate everyone’s cycling accomplishments with cake and accolades.
